It seems that our old cold war opponent Russia is looking to house strategic bombers in both Cuba and Venezuela. This was reported in a Russian news paper, and no government conformation was found for the story but I am sure Hugo Chavez would love to have the Russian bombers in Venezuela since he is such a big fan of the United States.
This was almost certainly leaked via the Russian government in response to the missile defense system that the United States had planned to install in Eastern Europe. Just like in the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962, Russia will want to use this as a bargaining chip to stop our plans for the missile defense shield.
One more thing does come to mind, do you remember when Vice President Joe Biden told us that President Obama would be tested in the first 6 months of his Presidency? Also Biden stated in his next breath ”We would not understand his action” to that moment when he would be tested. Now I do not know about the rest of you but that scares the hell out of me.
Why would we not understand it? If we were attacked would we not respond to the attack?
Russia is basically flexing their muscles as is China for threatening our navy vessels. It’s all a game until someone gets hurt , just like the biggest schoolyard kids trying to prove who is tougher. But what happens when someone does get hurt? What will President Obama do when the time comes to stand up for the United States? Will he turn tail and be submissive? Or will he bite back? I really hope that he would bite back, but he very well may not, just to prove some ridicules pinhead point to the rest of the world.
If President Barack Obama cannot throw money at something I think he is lost.
