Well it seems that it has been revealed that Obama truly has no back bone.
To let a small group of Pirates hold an American Freighter captain hostage and even consider negotiating with them is a sign of weakness.
Barack Obama should let the United States Navy Seals do the job they are trained for and eliminate the threat and free the Freighter captain NOW not later when it may be to late. His procrastination on taking action is another sign to the rest of the world that he is a weak leader and does nothing but hurt the United States.
He cannot blame President Bush on this one as it is all up to him, but he should call President George Bush for some advice on this matter as it would have been dealt with already under the Bush Administration.
Obama should stop bowing to the rest of the world and start leading!

Not at all, if the good captain did not act on his own behalf by escaping his captors he would still be captive.
I guess the three dead pirates didn't get the memo that President Obama has "no balls". If "shrub" was still in the White House he would be crapping his pants and holding Dick Cheney's hand.
Obama did not tell anyone to pull the trigger all he did was tell the Navy that if the Captain was in immediate danger they could take action, that's it, nothing else that is standard policy.
