Over on Bloomberg.com they are reporting that the Military may submit a plan to President Obama on attacking the Pirate land bases.
“The U.S. military is considering attacks on pirate bases on land and aid for the Somali people to help stem ship hijackings off Africa’s east coast, defense officials said.”
Now this would show that President Barack Obama is indeed a leader and not someone just interested in looking good to the rest of the world. If he would give the OK to attack and destroy the Pirate land bases this would deal a severe blow to the Pirate Criminals.
But now the question is will he take the advice of the Military and crush the Pirate land bases or do nothing.

This is a slippery slope… Clinton lobbed some missiles at suspected terrorist bases and declared victory. I think one of those was a baby formula factory. So far the U.S. and the French have killed pirates that held their country's people. Bombing some bases isn't going to do much in the end because it is the lawlessness on land that is allowing this type of behavior.
I would be happy enough if the pirates just knew enough to stay away from US ships.
A lot of women and children living in those "land bases" (also known as villages).
I think this is work for the CIA and intelligence agencies, cutting off money, etc, not another poorly thought out military strike just to prove our manliness.
