US Companies Outsource tech Support way to much

by admin on July 15, 2009

The economy is in the toilet and the unemployment rate continues to rise but US companies continue to outsource jobs like telephone technical support to countries like India.

Hughesnet the satellite internet provider is a perfect example of outsourcing tech support. When you call Hughesnet tech support your call goes to India and you have to deal with broken English on top of your technical troubles.

Now you are having troubles already that you need to call tech support and the language barrier compounds the matter. I deal with Hughesnet all the time as I live in a rural area and it is the only broad band (at least they call it broad band) internet I can get at the present time. I have news for Hughesnet their outsourced tech support sucks! There is an old saying and it still fits today, you get what you pay for. The support is below the bottom of the barrel as a simple Google search will bring up hundreds of complaints about Hughesnet in both service and tech support.

If companies would use US based tech support, even though it may cost more, the quality of support would be improved drastically. This would of course help unemployment and the economy by providing jobs to Americans who live and spend in America.

We do not need bailouts and out of control stimulus bills costing tax payers trillions all we need is some common sense, keep jobs and money in the United States!
