Does Your Vote Count? Can They Hear You?

by admin on August 6, 2009

Tonight I voted for Brandon on “So You Think You Can Dance”, I know kind of a cheesy show but you watch it too, I am just admitting it.  Do our votes count?  I would like to think so but lately are our ELECTED officials listening.  When they vote in the Senate or in Congress do they hear the voice of the people or their constituents?

Sadly I think the later.

The DNC has come out against normal Americans who are outraged with the current health care proposal.  These are normal people like my mom and dad that are getting off their couches and going to town halls and asking our ELECTED officials hard questions and are being belittled by the media and the DNC (media and DNC same thing).   Calling these normal American people fake props, “Astroturf”, plants, and angry mobs.  First these are just lies by the DNC and I am fear full of the fuel that is being thrown on the fire by belittling these people by the DNC.  The DNC is stoking the fire of frustration that many Americans are feeling with these types of comments.  But why?

Why agitate the people further by acting like they are not real voices?

I do not know why and it scares me they seem to want to poor fuel on the fire of American’s frustrations.  The tea party last weekend the media reported 200-300 people in attendance when the real numbers were closer to 10,000.  What is going on?  Why are they trying to agitate the people who just want to be heard?

I fear they want the conservatives to do something violent or rash so that they can point the finger and say look they are all crazy.  Maybe this would help them sleep better at night.  Please please please America violence is not the answer and they are trying to push you into doing something you will regret.  Hold back, be the voice of reason and keep speaking out and being heard.  Use logic not might because logic and truth are on our side.

Hold your ground Spartans.
